CI Induction Cooktop Bridge Element
Topics:
- CI Induction Cooktop Bridge Element
- How does the Bridge Element function on a CI Induction Cooktop?
- Is the Bridge Element a separate element on the CI Induction Cooktop?
Answer:
The bridge element manipulates the heat to the pan from the generator coils on 24", 30", and 36" CI Induction Cooktops.
- The bridge itself is not a separate element. The existing elements heat the entire pan evenly when using the bridge.
- The CI15T/S 15" Cooktop does not feature a bridge.
- Refer to Induction Cooktop Bridge for more information on bridge element use and considerations.
On CI365 models only, an All Bridge feature allows all four 8" circular elements to be activated at once.
- If using a set-on griddle or other cookware with the All Bridge feature, make sure the cookware covers all 4 burners. A flat cast iron griddle is recommended.
- Multiple pans may be used, but each burner must be covered by a pan. If one burner is not covered, the bridge element may turn off.
- There is a small dead zone in the center of the 4 burners.
Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.
