600 and Classic (BI) Series Pro and Tubular Handle Set Screw Torque

Answer:

The recommended Sub-Zero handle set screw torque specification is 18-20" lb of torque for the 600 Series and Classic (BI) Series units.

• Locktite® is not used in initial set screw installation.
• Over torquing the set screw can damage the fine threads in the screw or the handle standoff.
• The set screw is a #10-32x1/4 SS, cone-3/32" drive, part number 9015441.
• Tighten the set screw on the bottom of the handle standoff with a 3/32" Allen wrench.
• Set screw may be available locally, but is rather specialized.
