Renovation Creates Space for Family Gatherings

The homeowners, passionate hosts of family gatherings, envisioned a renovation that balanced their home’s charming character, functionality, and contemporary design. Their primary goal was to create an open, bright space that visually connected to the scenic backyard filled with mature oak trees. Additionally, the family's love for cooking and hosting necessitated a space that was both practical and stylish, with clean lines and concealed appliances.

SPACIOUS AND OPEN LAYOUT

The renovation focused on creating an open floor plan by eliminating partitioning walls, resulting in a bright, airy kitchen that maximizes natural light, provides stunning views of the backyard, and creates a space perfect for hosting large family gatherings.

CLEVER USE OF SPACE

Relocating the laundry room and utilizing the space under a slanted roof for higher ceilings maximized the kitchen's functionality and openness. These changes were essential in transforming the confined area into a spacious, welcoming environment.

MINIMALIST KITCHEN DESIGN

The homeowners’ desire for a sleek, contemporary kitchen was achieved by incorporating paneled and undercounter Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and eliminating upper wall cabinetry.

PERSONAL TOUCHES

The renovation thoughtfully included elements from the homeowners’ art collection, ensuring the new design not only met their functional needs but also reflected their personal style and interests.
