2nd Place Transitional Kitchen Award Winner 2019-2021

A 1908 Arts and Crafts house was ready for an upgrade, but designers Jonathan Spicer and Isabelle Harris knew it would not be easy. The home had gone through many alterations over the last 100 years, and the homeowners didn’t want to get rid of all the old. They wanted to create a modern fusion between the unique art deco features with a new, clean, contemporary look.

The art deco inspired design became a unified theme throughout the renovation. The sizing of the Sub-Zero refrigerators influenced the details within the kitchen design, and they played a key role in evoking a sense of old-world sophistication with a modern edge. The journey was transforming, and you can see it in the meticulous attention to detail showcased in the dark veneer, stone, and brass elements.
