2019-2021 KDC Finalist

Designers Darren Genner and Simona Castagna have a passion for creating spaces for people wanting to live their best, most authentic lives. Even they knew that making a large kitchen space feel smaller and intimate was going to be their greatest challenge. The home’s strongest architectural features are its long, linear design, open plan, and large, expansive windows. Genner and Castagna focused on these features to create a kitchen that sat harmoniously within, connecting dining, a family room, and outdoor entertaining. The style allowed for dual access in and around the kitchen.

With clients wanting only the best, Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove products were part of this timeless design. The appliances had to be robust enough to handle the large extended family gatherings. The homeowners were obsessed with making the interior fit the large architecture, and choosing a modern material palette provided a refinement that tied effortlessly with the rest of the interior. It is a kitchen that successfully integrates with its surroundings.
