Adrienne has been with Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home since the fall of 2004 and brings an international perspective to the design team. Living in Genoa, Italy while she studied abroad, Adrienne studied in France, Italy, Spain, England, Germany, and the Czech Republic, learning a tremendous amount about the classic European architectural and design style. She studied under several Italian professors and thoroughly enjoyed her Architectural Graphics, Field Sketching, and Art and Architectural History courses.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design from Clemson University where she attended Calhoun Honors college and graduated cum laude. She has also completed the Sustainable Furnishings Council's GREENleaders Program and is also LEED AP Credentialed, demonstrating a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED rating systems. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Architecture at Clemson.

Where do you find design inspiration?
Although the list is not limited to these, I often find inspiration in nature, fashion, architecture, the client’s tastes and goals/vision, function and intent of a space, product design, and design publications. It’s a very personal/individual process, thus the inspiration is as varied as the clients.How do you approach the design process?
The most important part is getting to know the client and their goals! From there, I work iteratively, beginning with the must-haves for the room/space. This component is different for every client and space, so I rarely have the same starting point. The other selections are then layered on to achieve the goals of the client.What makes your aesthetic stand out amongst other designers?
My designs tend to be subtle, grounded in a natural palette, cognizant of environmental concerns during the decision-making processes, and have creative, non-standard solutions to design problems. I enjoy the variety afforded to working with different clients and various tasks that result in a better-rounded overall project.What is the greatest value you provide to your clients?
Guidance and vision. It is very difficult for most clients to visualize all of the selections together and to understand how the drawings translate to a finished space. Because I have a clear visual of the comprehensive selections and how they will all work together, I can provide guidance and recommendations on how best to proceed.
