Answer:
During self-clean, the oven is heated to an extremely high temperature to burn off food soil.
- Remove all oven racks and rack guides, refer to Remove Oven Racks and Rack Guides.
- Racks and rack guides will discolor if left in during self-clean.
- Remove the bake stone, if in place. Refer to Bake Stone Kit Use and Care Information for cleaning instructions.
- The oven door will lock and stay locked until self-clean is complete and oven temperature has cooled below 300°F (150°F).
- Self-clean times include one hour for cool down.
- The cooktop of an Induction Range may be used while the oven is self-cleaning. The surface and area in front of the range may be warmer than normal with the self-clean running.
Setting Self-Clean Mode
4-hour self-cleaning:
- Rotate mode selector knob to CLEAN.
- Touch ENTER.
3-hour self-cleaning:
- Rotate mode selector knob to CLEAN.
- Touch STOP TIME.
- Touch down arrow to reduce stop time by 1 hour.
- Touch ENTER twice.
