Answer:
It is strongly recommended to have Factory Certified Service remove an oven door. Performance may be affected if door is not properly installed.
Hinge Pin Information:
- E Series Wall Ovens use a hinge lock built into the hinge to help with door removal.
- Note that the hinge pin is on the sides of the unit.
- If a replacement hinge pin is needed, contact a Factory Certified Parts Distributor to order parts. Refer to the product Installation Guide for further information.
Required Tools:
- Flat head screwdriver
- Hinge pin
Oven Door Removal:
- Open the door to its fully opened position.
- With fingertip or small screwdriver, rotate hinge lock towards oven door.
- Lift oven door to about a 60 degree angle from horizontal.
- Pull door away from oven while continuing to lift and remove.
Oven Door Installation:
- Grasp oven door on opposite sides and lift the door until hinges are aligned with the openings in oven frame.
- Hold door at about a 30 degree angle from vertical.
- Slide hinges into openings until the bottom hinge arms drop fully into hinge receptacles.
- Lower the door to fully opened position and rotate hinge lock towards the oven frame.
- Open and close the door completely to ensure it is properly installed.
