E Series Ovens will stay in the Sabbath Mode indefinitely until manually turned off.

Original E Series Ovens (Models SO30-2, DO30-2)
  • When changing the temperature in Sabbath Mode, the display shows the new oven set temperature.
  • In the best interest of honoring the Sabbath during holidays, E Series Ovens should stay set at one temperature.
    • To resolve this on original E Series Ovens, use part number 823155.
    • This new control is Sabbath-compliant with Star-K standards.
    • Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment to install a new control if needed.
New E Series Ovens (Models SO30TE/S/TH, DO30TE/S/TH, SO30PE/S/PH, DO30PE/S/PH)
  • Sabbath Mode is Star-K compliant when purchased.
  • Temperature changes are possible without showing the change on the control panel.
  • While in the Sabbath Mode, the original set temperature will always show in the display even if the temperature is changed.
  • This makes it difficult to know what temperature the oven is at if the original setpoint was changed.
Double Ovens
  • Each oven must be set to desired mode and temperature before entering Sabbath Mode, if desired.
  • Once Sabbath Mode is set, the second oven cannot be used unless it has already been set to Sabbath Mode as well.
  • Sabbath Mode would have to be canceled and reset with both ovens on if both are needed during the Sabbath.

  • The Sabbath Mode must be entered manually every time.
  • There is no option to have the unit automatically enter Sabbath Mode at a set time.

To change the setpoint temperature in Sabbath Mode:

  1. Select the oven to change the temperature in a double oven.
  2. Select the temperature and press enter.
    • If unsure what temperature the oven is at, set the oven to the desired temperature.
  3. The change will not be reflected on the display but the oven will change to the selected temperature.
    • Once the temperature is changed, wait 10 - 15 minutes to make sure the new temperature is reached before putting food in the oven.
