Answer:

The volume and tone of newer IR Induction Ranges can be adjusted by entering the extended options.

1. The cooktop must be locked to enter extended options. To lock, touch and hold the padlock icon  for 3 seconds.
2. Touch and hold the power icon  for five seconds. Power level 1 appears on the rear element control, and “Vo” appears on the touchscreen.
3. To adjust volume: On the front element control, touch the small flame icon to the left or the large flame icon on the right  to decrease or increase the volume, respectively.
4. To adjust pitch: Touch the flame icon  on the rear zone to adjust tone. Power level 2 appears on the rear element control, and “Fr” appears on the touchscreen. Then, use the front element controls like in step 3 (small flame  and large flame  icons) to adjust the pitch.
5. After adjustment, touch the power icon  to confirm settings.
6. Touch and hold the padlock icon  for 3 seconds to return the appliance to idle.
