Fan Noises during Oven Self-Clean
Topics:
- During self-clean is fan noise audible?
- What is noise coming from oven in Self-Clean?
Answer:
Cooling fans and convection fans run at various times during the self-clean process.
- The fan noises can seem louder during self clean, as more fans are running at the same time, and for a longer period of time than a normal cooking mode.
The cooling fan comes on at a low setting when the oven reaches 225°F and turns off when the oven cools to 175°F. This fan may not turn off for a long period after the self-clean cycle is complete.
