Answer:
To froth milk with the EC24 Coffee System:
- Remove the water spout if installed.
- Adjust the froth regulator on the milk container to the desired amount.
- The froth regulator is part of the milk container lid.
- Slide the silver adjuster in and out so that it lines up with the desired setting:
- Caffelatte for no froth
- Latte macchiato for some froth
- Cappuccino for the most froth
- Fill and insert the milk container.
- Place a cup under the coffee spout. Verify the milk spout is positioned over the cup. NOTE: Make sure the spout is facing straight down.
- Press the Latte Macchiato/Caffelatte/Frothed Milk button (far right-hand button on control panel).
- Press up or down arrows (same buttons as Hot Water and Select Taste) to scroll to the Frothed Milk setting.
- Press the Enter key (same button as Select Volume).
- Verify the head of the pitcher is not blocked if the unit does not froth milk.
- Verify steam is being produced.
- If the Coffee System does not froth the milk following these steps, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
Frothing tips:
- The Coffee System froths up to 8 oz of milk at one time.
- The milk container must be inserted for the program to run.
- If the milk container is removed in the middle of frothing, the unit automatically ends the program.
- The Coffee System uses steam to froth the milk. Milk is heated during the frothing process.
- Skim milk delivers the best frothing results.
- Any type of milk is fine to use, including soy, almond, or coconut milk.
- The more fat in the milk, the more difficult it is to create froth.
- Push the clean button after frothing milk to prevent blockage.
- To keep the coffee as warm as possible, use milk that does not require refrigeration that is at room temperature.
- If the Coffee System does not froth the milk following these steps, service is necessary to expertly diagnose and repair the product. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
