Water Filter Life
- Water filters may last longer than a year based on water usage.
- There is no date code on water filters.
- The water filter timer does not reset after a power outage.
- Sub-Zero water filters do not have a shelf life. Store them in a cool, dry environment.
- Storing filters in a damp cold environment could compromise the integrity of the water filter.
Water Filter Performance
- The water filter part number is on the water filter label.
- If the water filter part number is unknown, use the product serial number in the Filter Finder to determine which filter that product uses.
- To reduce the risk associated with the ingestion of contaminants: DO NOT use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
Filtration Data
- All sub-zero water filters reduce the presence of particulates in water as well as chlorine taste and odor.
- Some filters additionally reduce the presence of contaminants including asbestos, lead, and mercury. Refer to the table below for more specific water filter performance information.
