Locate Model Number:

The model number is on the serial tag for the unit. To find the serial tag, refer to Sub-Zero Serial Tag Locations.

How to Read a Sub-Zero Model Number:

Letters and numbers are both used to identify sub-zero products by product line, size, and features.

1. Letters at the beginning denote the product line, such as CL, BI, DET, IC, etc.
2. Numbers afterward specify the width, such as 18, 30, or 36
3. Following letters specify features of the unit, such as panel type, door style, and dispensers. 

Refer to the table below for a list of letters used for sub-zero features.

  • DET - Designer series
  • 3050 - 30" unit
  • C - combination refrigerator and freezer
  • I - icemaker
  • ID - internal dispenser
  • /R - right hinge

  • R - all refrigerator
  • A - high altitude glass door
