Designer Series (IT, IC, ID, IW) Side Molding Trim

Answer:

Designer Series products have a different anchoring system than 700 Series products.

  • Side molding trim pieces have been removed from the installation.
  • The side trim will not push into place without the tension created when the unit is anchored to its opening.
    • Attempting to install the side trim prior to anchoring unit to cabinet will not be successful and trim will fall off.

Designer Drawer (ID) models:

  • These models have no side molding to cover either side mounting brackets.

Designer Tall (IT), Designer Column (IC), and Designer Wine Storage (IW) models:

  • There is no "hinge-side" side molding to cover hinge-side mounting brackets.
  • A side molding piece is supplied to cover the mounting brackets on the handle side.
  • The side trim molding is taped to the side of the unit when shipped.
