Dual Installation of Undercounter, Designer Drawer (ID), 700 Series, UW-24, and 424 Models

Answer:
A dual installation kit is used for some undercounter-size Sub-Zero products.
- If a dual installation kit is required, always order the kit for the unit that the heater kit attaches to.
- This will always be the right-hand side unit when facing the opening.

700 Series Base Models
- Two 700 Base units or a 700 Base unit next to a 424G with less than 2" between units:
- The 700 Base series dual heater kit is recommended, part number 7007530.
- Refer to 700 Series Dual Install Heater Kit Instructions for additional information regarding the dual installation of 700BR, 700BFI, 700BCI.
Designer Drawer (ID) Units
- Order dual installation kit part number 7024476 for drawer to drawer installations.
- The heater panel has two black wires.
- Drawer units have a separate green (ground) wire that clips to the unit and heater panel.
- For units prior to serial number 5522420, also order jumper harness 7031724.
- The jumper harness connects the unit to the heater.
- The center trim will not cover the louvered area behind the lower drawer.
ID Drawer to 700 Series Base Units
- Either installation kit can be used.
- The installation kit needed depends on which unit is on which side.
- This will always be the right-hand side unit when facing the opening.
ID Drawer to UC Undercounter Units
- Either installation kit can be used.
- The installation kit needed depends on which unit is on which side.
- This will always be the right-hand side unit when facing the opening.
- The brackets for securing the units together will not work. Brackets specific to this installation are not available.
424 Wine Storage
- For 424G dual installations, the opening depth needed to install a 700 Series Base unit next to a 424 Wine Storage unit is 25".
- Pull the 424 Wine Storage unit forward in the opening to match the front of the 700 Series Base model.
- If the 424 door hinge is on the same side as where the two units join, binding may occur past a 90° door opening.
- If the units are installed with less than 2" between them, the 700 Series dual heater kit is recommended.
- Double the opening width when installing two 424 models next to each other.
