Cause:

• Frozen drain tube
• Food particles in drain tube causing clog

Troubleshooting:

For the most applicable information, first determine your product model by referring to the serial tag. To locate the serial tag, refer to Sub-Zero Serial Tag Locations.

1. Turn the unit off at the Unit ON/OFF key.
   • Turn the dial on a 500 Series down past 1 to OFF. This will turn off the freezer only.
2. Allow the unit to defrost with the door or drawer open until it is at room temperature and dry.
3. Watch for dripping water and clean up as needed.
4. Remove the drain pan and empty as needed, see Drain Pan Removal.
5. The freezer drain tube is covered by a drain trough enclosure that is not removable.
   • It is not possible to flush out the same way the refrigerator drain tube can.
   • Do not disconnect the drain tube.
6. For clogged drains accompanied by the following, contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair:
   • Poor temperatures
   • Door seal issues
   • Service light indicators
   • Any other problems
