Designer Series (DEC, DET) UIM Removal

  • Take out user interface module (UIM) from next Designer Series Column or Tall unit
  • Remove Designer Series touch control screen from refrigerator or freezer

Answer:

Tools required:

  • T-15 Torx bit

Instructions:

  1. Disconnect the product from the power source.
  2. Open the door.
  3. Remove the top drawer.
  4. Remove the fixed glass shelf.
  5. Remove the tension bar cover mounting screws. Lift the tension bar cover.
  6. Disconnect the UIM wire harness connector, and remove the wires from the retaining clip.
  7. Remove the UIM mounting screws. Remove the UIM from the tension bar cover.
