600 Series Refrigerator or Freezer Lights Not Turning Off

Troubleshooting:

600 Series models (except 601R and 601F):

  1. If applicable, verify the accent lights are not the issue.
  2. Ensure nothing is preventing the door from fully closing.
  3. Open the door and verify the switch depressor located at the top center of the door. If missing, replace the switch depressor.
  4. Push the light switch (switch on left-hand side) in and out and wiggle it back and forth. If the lights are not affected, replace light switch. See Light Switch Instructions.

601R and 601F models:

  1. If applicable, verify the accent lights are not the issue.
  2. Ensure nothing is keeping the door from fully closing.
  3. Open the door and push the light switch (switch on right-hand side) in and out and wiggle it back and forth. If the lights are not affected, replace the light switch. See 501 and 601 Models and 501 & 601 Series Grille Removal.

Answer:

Replace the light switch.

  • 600 Series (except 601R and 601F) light switch part number: 7014646
  • Models 601R and 601F light switch part number: 7004257
