Dishwasher Detergent Does Not Dissolve
Topics:
- Detergent does not dissolve in the dishwasher during a clean program
- Why is the detergent not dissolving?
- Cove dishwasher detergent not dissolved
Cause:
- Large dishes or tall utensils in front baskets block the detergent cup
Troubleshooting:
- For powder detergent that does not dissolve:
- Verify the detergent is fresh, not old, which may clump.
- Use a high temperature program or temperature boost if available to see if detergent dissolves.
- For tablet detergents that have not dissolved:
- Use dry hands and a dry dispenser. There should be no issue with dissolution, unless there is an issue with water in the machine or the dispenser not opening.
- If the tab sticks in the dispenser, such as if it is wet when placed, the tab may not get water flow until too late in the cycle, since no water sprays into the dispenser.
- Verify the middle spray arm is not blocked.
- Large items in the lower rack can block the spray arm. Reposition the middle rack as needed.
- Wash nozzle on the end of the middle spray arm may be blocked. Disassemble and wash out as needed.
- If these steps do not resolve the issue, no further customer troubleshooting advice is available. Contact Factory Certified Service to schedule an appointment for repair.
